A Card for Dad and more...

I walked in this morning and Megan asked to write Mrs. Brown (my principal) a persuasive note about how to help kids with negative lunch balances.  I told her, "sure but don't forget about OREOs" (Opinion, Reason, Explanation, and Restating Opinion).  I was blown away with how thoughtful her letter was.

Check it out...

Next week will be our last week of school.  I wanted to prepare a Father's Day card before it gets lost in the mix of activities prepared for next week.  Lakeshore Learning has a fabulous reproducible activity that turned out GREAT!!  The kids created a pattern on the tie, used the instructions to create their shirt, and borrowed the poem or created their own.

Aren't they CuTe!!!

Devin wanted to add arms and a head!

Jahrell created an acrostic poem: exciting, important, rich, cool, crafty!
